About the role

The Machine Operator sets up and operates non-thermal processing equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Non-thermal processing equipment includes saws, shears, press brakes, rollers, and digi-benders. The role involves using computer-controlled equipment to select, position, and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines, controlling and adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all safety guidelines and wears required personal protective equipment.
  • Sets up and operates a variety of non-thermal processing equipment, including saws, shears, press brakes, rollers, and digi-benders.
  • Operates a wide variety of material handling equipment, such as forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and follows work instructions.
  • Uses measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
  • Converts fractions to decimals and adds/subtracts fractions and decimals.
  • Provides high-quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate a variety of non-thermal processing equipment, including saws, shears, press brakes, rollers, and digi-benders.
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment, such as forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
  • Ability to convert fractions to decimals and add and subtract fractions and decimals.
  • Responsible for providing high-quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.

Pay

Competitive salary.

Schedule

Second shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required as needed.
