Machine Operator (Night Shift)

Responsibilities

• Safely produce a quality product according to customer work orders in a team environment.
• Cross train on various aspects of a lamination machine’s operation.
• Operate up to two different types of manual equipment (e.g., Router, Bands Saw, Pipe cover saw, Curved Segment Saw, Miter Saw, Hullboard machine).
• Understand purchase orders, product descriptions, and determine manufacturing requirements.
• Perform all machine functions: blade changing and tensioning, turning equipment on/off, setup or changeovers between jobs, and adjustments such as changing blades and spray guns using hand tools.
• Ensure the machine produces required dimensions and quality standards; minimize defects and report issues immediately.
• Understand and perform Lock Out / Tag Out safety procedures.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with a power hoist; clean work area, machines, and equipment.
• Participate in periodic workplace safety learning sessions and daily housekeeping.
• Complete all work efficiently and timely as instructed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• If operating a company vehicle, a valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior forklift experience is preferred.
• Proven track record of good attendance and punctuality.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 50 lbs unassisted to load and unload products.
• Capable of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, standing, and ladder climbing as needed.

Pay

$13.00 - $30.00 per hour. Actual offers depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, and market data. This position may also offer variable compensation.
