Machine Operator/Mail Sorter - Publishing Services

About the role
The Machine Operator/Mail Sorter will operate high-speed inserters to process and assemble mail for publishing services. This role requires attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A structured training program will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate high-speed inserters to assemble and insert materials into envelopes or mailers.
- Ensure proper setup and adjustment of equipment to handle various sizes and types of materials.
- Monitor machinery during operation to prevent jams or malfunctions.
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production goals and prioritize job orders.
- Verify the accuracy and quality of inserted materials, addressing any issues or discrepancies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or technical problems related to inserters.
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Stand for extended periods and operate machinery efficiently.
Requirements
- Prior experience operating high-speed inserters or similar machinery is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret job orders, production schedules, and quality specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working at a fast pace.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Good organizational and time management skills to meet production deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and guidelines.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work overtime if necessary.

Pay
Starting pay: $27/hour. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by factors including the scope, complexity, and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
