Machine Operator ll, Sections, 2nd Shift

Kondex Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator to join the Sections department on 2nd shift. A $3.00 per hour shift premium is offered for this role.

Schedule

• Current 2nd shift hours: Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
• Training will likely occur on 1st shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
• Hours may fluctuate based on customer requirements and training needs

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate machines in the Sickle Sections area, including blanking presses, hydraulic presses, heat treat equipment, and grinding machines
• Read prints and travelers
• Follow established machine settings and parameters
• Perform lock-out tag-out on equipment
• Perform basic inspections using hand-held measuring devices
• Work in computer system to track and close orders
• Perform 5S activities, including limited preventative maintenance on equipment
• May assist in training full-time, part-time, or temporary associates in the department
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions
• Prior blueprint reading experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude
• Prior machine operation experience

Pay

$21.10 - $26.10 per hour plus a $3.00 per hour shift premium
