Machine Operator ll, Sections, 1st Shift

About the role

Kondex Corporation is looking for a Machine Operator to join the Sections department.

Schedule

• Current opening on 1st shift
• Monday – Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
• Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts from machines while achieving expected rates, which could include one or more advanced machines
• Operate basic machines such as shot blaster, tumble blaster, media blaster, tempering oven, robotic stacker, band saw, straightening press, etc. (these machines do not have progressions to Machine Operator I)
• Read prints and routings
• Follow established machine settings and parameters
• Perform lock-out tag-out on equipment
• Perform basic inspections using hand-held measuring devices
• Operate lift devices such as boom crane and hand jack
• May learn to operate multiple advanced machines in the area to prepare for advancement
• May learn set-ups by assisting Operator I
• Close orders in computer system
• Perform 5S activities, including limited preventative maintenance on equipment
• May assist in training other operators within the department

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, prints, and inspection criteria
• Ability to learn how to operate more complex equipment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred
