Pay & Total Rewards

The pay range for this position is $24.50-$34.30 per hour, with an additional compensation through overtime and a 10% shift differential when working an off-shift. If hired, you will receive a $3,000 sign on bonus after your first 30 days worked. This bonus is subject to legal requirements and withholdings.

Position Summary

As a Level III Machine Operator, you'll play a crucial role in our manufacturing team, producing fluid-system components that meet the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist with a proven ability to work independently, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and perform machine changeovers while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

What You'll Do

Your day will include various responsibilities to ensure production runs safely and efficiently, including:

• Participating in a daily shift start-up meeting with your team
• Giving or receiving a shift handoff report
• Operating and changingover manufacturing equipment according to standard work instructions and production schedules
• Following quality plans according to specs
• Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring equipment
• Monitoring machine outputs for quality, adjusting tooling, fixtures, and machine settings as needed
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving machining, tooling, and process issues independently
• Completing preventative maintenance and routine machine care
• Recognizing equipment malfunctions and coordinating or escalating repairs when needed
• Documenting production activities accurately and maintaining manufacturing records
• Suggesting process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, or safety
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures
• Training and mentoring less experienced operators

What Makes You Successful

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in producing high-quality parts, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Successful candidates will have:

• A high school diploma or GED
• At least 30 months of machining or manufacturing experience (or current qualification as a Swagelok Level II Machine Operator)
• A strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and metal cutting equipment, including experience with machine set up, blueprint reading, and basic programming
• Troubleshooting machining equipment
• Knowledge of tooling in machining with the ability to use form tools, shave tools, drills, reamers, thread rolling, cams, gears, and more
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and quality inspection tools
• A mechanical aptitude with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve machining issues

Physical Requirements

This position requires working in a manufacturing environment and may include:

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping
• Lifting materials weighing 25–35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Working safely around manufacturing equipment
• Passing required vision acuity testing, where applicable
