3rd shift – 10:00 pm – 6:15 am (Sun‑Thurs)

Pay & Total Rewards

The pay range for this position is $18.40‑$25.80 per hour, with additional compensation through overtime and a 10% shift differential for off‑shift work. Starting pay is based on skills, experience, and qualifications. This position includes a $1,500 sign‑on bonus payable after the first 30 days of employment, provided the employee is actively employed at the time of payout. Bonus payments are subject to required withholdings and applicable taxes.

Position Summary

As a Level II Machine Operator, you will join Swagelok’s manufacturing team to produce fluid‑system components that meet the highest quality standards. This entry‑level machinist role is ideal for someone eager to learn, capable of working independently, and focused on safety and quality. You will receive all necessary tools and gauges, work on a variety of machines in a clean, temperature‑controlled environment, and continuously expand your technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily shift start‑up meetings and provide or receive shift handoff reports.
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to standard work instructions.
• Follow standard work instructions and quality plans to meet specifications.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, comparators, ring gauges, dial indicators, smart gauges, etc.).
• Monitor machine outputs and identify quality, machining, tooling, or process issues.
• Escalate issues to support associates to resume production.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine machine care.
• Document production activities accurately and maintain manufacturing records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting fractions and decimals.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and pride in producing high‑quality parts.
• Willingness to work overtime hours as needed.
• Preferred: machining experience or mechanical background.
• Preferred: experience in a manufacturing production environment.
• Preferred: strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Preferred: excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping.
• Lifting materials weighing 25–35 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally.
• Working safely around manufacturing equipment.
• Passing required vision acuity testing, where applicable.
