About the role
Operate manufacturing machines in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner in order to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of a slitting machine according to established training criteria, either through independent work or working with others.
- Follow directions on work orders and translate data into proper settings and procedures.
- Check output against specifications on work orders and perform visual inspection of goods produced.
- Recognize non-conforming goods and inform the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Report any process and equipment problems to upper management and/or the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.
- Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area while meeting production quality and quantity standards.
- Adhere to production schedules as set by the Production Planner and VP of Operations.
- Effectively utilize required systems, including HQMS and Sage 500 ERP/DSCS.
- Ensure established safety protocols are followed.
