Machine Operator IV - Weekend Days (Fri - Sunday 6am - 6pm)

About the role

Responsibilities

• Perform as an operator on the facility’s slitter machine.
• Work to achieve maximum productivity and quality in the slitting area.
• Perform necessary adjustments to the slitter machine.
• Monitor slitter operations, check quality, and detect defects.
• Operate computer, complete daily paperwork, and maintain production records.
• Perform various tasks in support of production operations.
• Acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
• Learn problem-solving and standardized practices.
• Follow work instructions and standardized work created within the assigned role.
• Learn professional concepts, company policies, and lean concepts.
• Actively participate in process improvements.
• Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or department goals.

Requirements

• Typically requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• No related experience required.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn ERP system.
