Machine Operator I - Milton, PA

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation machine inspection, including loading screws and hinges
• Sort and push door stacks down conveyor tracks
• Use a mallet to loosen doors
• Load hinge machine with bifold door panels for hinging
• Inspect and ensure hardware is aligned and applied correctly before push-off
• Pull off cullboards, change bits, restock rails, and assist as needed
• Direct rejected doors to repair and request remakes
• Perform LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedures and use an air gun during cleanup

Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent bending, constant twisting while carrying product, stooping, pushing, and standing for long continuous hours.

Requirements

• Preferably one year of experience in a manufacturing setting working in a similar role
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Skills

• Ability to work on a computer
• Proficiency in using a tape measure and caliper
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Strong math abilities, including adding and subtracting fractions and whole numbers, and converting fractions to decimals
• Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions
• Capability to perform small repairs on doors
