Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial machinery and MI cable manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor production processes to ensure output meets specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect raw materials and finished products to verify compliance with quality requirements.
- Adjust machine settings and production equipment for different cable sizes and product specifications.
- Record production data, quality checks, and machine performance information.
- Perform equipment changeovers, machine adjustments, and minor repairs when necessary.
- Identify mechanical or equipment issues and communicate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Test components and finished goods using:
- Megohmmeter
- Low resistance ohmmeter
- Multimeter
- Hi-Pot tester
- Thermal imaging camera
- Clamp meter
- Prepare materials and components used by automation and production machinery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
- Follow all manufacturing safety procedures and company policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of machine operator or manufacturing experience
- Experience operating industrial machinery or automated equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and production equipment
- Knowledge of measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and torque testers
- Ability to use basic hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to follow production instructions and technical procedures
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work around machinery for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with automation equipment or automated manufacturing systems
- Familiarity with MI cable production or electrical cable manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Work Environment
