Machine Operator I - ECG

Essential Job Functions

• Set up and operate ECG (Electrocardiogram) machines.
• Set up and operate Herma labeling machines.
• Pack product in an in-line packaging operation.
• Perform light maintenance duties on the machines (such as die changes, station alignments).
• Interpret shop paperwork and drawings.
• Complete necessary quality paperwork according to FDA regulations.
• Perform quality inspections as needed.
• Absorb and move materials as needed.
• Manage the manufacturing processes associated with the assigned equipment, focusing on productivity, quality, safety, and good housekeeping, directing the work of packers as needed.
• Communicate with other Machine Operators, Packers, Team Leads, Water Spiders, and Supervisors on production issues, needs, and recommendations to improve production effectiveness and efficiency, including safety recommendations.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Previous Machine Operations experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Bend and lift 45+ pounds without assistance.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a constructive positive manner with others in a team environment.
• Ability to read instructions, specifications, and drawings required to accomplish assignment.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instruction.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to react quickly to operation issues.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
• Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hands.
• Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees.
• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
• Lifting: Picking up and moving objects. May involve carrying as well.
• Climbing: Ascending or descending using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
• Sitting: Remaining seated for a period of time, in one position.

• “Participate in the reduction of risk and injury in the workplace by completing required job safety training, identifying workplace risks, wearing required personal protective equipment, ensuring all machine guards are in place before operating equipment, not operating equipment without proper safety training; compliance to Safety Standards and Policy: Immediately informing manager, supervisor, and/or Team Leader of unsafe conditions, practices, incidents, and injuries.”

Pay and Benefits

Nissha Medical Technologies is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $17.75-$19.75/hour plus a $3.50/hour shift differential. The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
