Machine Operator I
What a Day in the Life
Safely operate production machinery
Read and interpret detailed drawings and dimension styles
Interface with engineering to program machines, set up, and run
Load parts in the machine, cycle the machine, and detect malfunctions in the operation of the machine
Stay current with TPM and basic mechanical adjustments on all equipment as needed
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience operating manufacturing equipment including (break press) press brake.
- Preferred high school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements
- Ability to use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, and screw guns
- Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Successful completion of the drug and background screening
Physical Demands
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding
- Ability to regularly lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to work with arms above head
- Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area
- Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments
