About the Role
As a Machine Operator 1 at Vanguard Conversion and Fulfillment, you will be responsible for basic machine setup, operation, and quality checks to support the daily conversion and packaging of products. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience with production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Basic Machine Operation: Set up and operate entry-level machines according to standard operating procedures. Load materials, monitor production output, and make minor adjustments to maintain continuous operation. Ensure materials are labeled, stored, and used appropriately.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect materials and finished products for obvious defects and notify supervisor of irregularities. Perform basic measurements and visual checks to ensure products meet specifications. Maintain clean work area to prevent contamination or damage to materials.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and report unsafe conditions. Comply with operational procedures and quality guidelines. Attend training sessions and participate in safety meetings as required.

What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch; occasionally required to sit, climb or balance.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move with assistance, up to fifty pounds.
