Machine Operator I (2nd Shift)

About the role

This position involves setting up, operating, and performing simple maintenance on a variety of specialized production equipment. Duties may also include sorting, loading, unloading, checking, and inspecting. Keeping records, reporting rejects, and identifying failure patterns are also part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Understand written and verbal instructions
• Read and interpret basic blueprints
• Respond appropriately to system, process, or material problems
• Perform required inventory functions (e.g., inquiries, updates, transactions, certifications)
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using correct materials and tools
• Perform required tasks for product changeover and startup
• Operate high-volume manufacturing equipment and use common hand tools
• Set-up machine
• Understand all job hazards and demonstrate safe behaviors
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience

• Physical Demands:
• Continuous standing
• Frequent walking
• Frequent pushing/pulling
• Frequent upper extremity use
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
