Machine Operator - First Shift

About the role

Zinga Industries is part of Filtration Group, a global market-leading provider of filtration consumables that drive innovation and deliver solutions across various applications and end-markets. We are looking for a Machine Operator to perform tasks associated with advanced machine operation.

Responsibilities

• To perform any of the machining operations assigned by the team lead or production supervisor.
• Set up and operate trim presses, various port and stem machines, vibratory machines, drill, and tap fixturing.
• Work in a quality-conscious and safe manner.
• Ability to perform at work at process speed and/or standard rates.
• Advise supervisor with any problems with tools, equipment, fixtures, materials, or setup operator.
• Maintain daily product and scrap records.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the machine shop or production supervisor.
• Keep workstation and surrounding area clean.
• Maintain all assigned tools.

Qualifications

A High School diploma or equivalent is required. 2-3 years of work experience in a related field is a plus. The ideal candidate must be able to read, write, and count, have good hand-eye coordination, and good communication skills.

Skills

• Ability to work sitting or standing for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.
