Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Fabrication Equipment in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.
- Cook up job priorities with Team Leader and the Production Supervisor.
- Set-up and operate fabrication equipment, not limited to Core-Drill, Trim Saws, Grinders and CNC Lathe, in accordance with established procedures.
- Inspect product using proper gauges.
- Monitor workmanship quality to minimize scrap.
- Maintain the equipment area in a clean and organized manner.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of processes and procedures.
- Troubleshoot problems and work with Manufacturing Engineering to resolve.
- Provide and maintain accurate production records.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform equipment maintenance as needed.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
- May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in set-up and running of fabrication equipment preferred
- 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent preferred
- CNC experience preferred
- Experience with tooling and fixtures preferred
Skills
- Ability to use micrometers and calipers
- Ability to read & interpret blueprints
- General computer skills
- Good mathematical skills
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Must be highly motivated, self-starter and work as a team player
- Must have high levels of attention to detail and quality, be able to multitask and stay organized
- Must demonstrate the ability to act professionally
- Must be able to occasionally move about in production areas as needed
Environmental & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment.
- Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each workday doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb.
- May have possible exposure to dust and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- AA degree or technical school diploma in electromechanical technology or related field preferred
