Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain Fabrication Equipment in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.
  • Cook up job priorities with Team Leader and the Production Supervisor.
  • Set-up and operate fabrication equipment, not limited to Core-Drill, Trim Saws, Grinders and CNC Lathe, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Inspect product using proper gauges.
  • Monitor workmanship quality to minimize scrap.
  • Maintain the equipment area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot problems and work with Manufacturing Engineering to resolve.
  • Provide and maintain accurate production records.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
  • May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in set-up and running of fabrication equipment preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent preferred
  • CNC experience preferred
  • Experience with tooling and fixtures preferred

Skills

  • Ability to use micrometers and calipers
  • Ability to read & interpret blueprints
  • General computer skills
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Must be highly motivated, self-starter and work as a team player
  • Must have high levels of attention to detail and quality, be able to multitask and stay organized
  • Must demonstrate the ability to act professionally
  • Must be able to occasionally move about in production areas as needed

Environmental & Physical Requirements

  • Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment.
  • Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each workday doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb.
  • May have possible exposure to dust and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AA degree or technical school diploma in electromechanical technology or related field preferred
