Machine Operator, Cutting (Days)

About the role

We are looking for Machine Operators to join our Cutting Department. You'll be part of a talented production group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This opportunity focuses on cutting printed materials into different shapes and sizes per exact specifications, in a timely manner, using a Zund digital die cutting machine.

Available Shifts

Wednesday through Friday 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (36-hour work week - Three 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule every 4 months. Overtime Eligible.)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous work experience in printing, print operations, cutting, or machine operations a plus but not required
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Pay close attention to details on every project
• Basic computer skills, including ePace and Google
• Self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
• Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work
• Ability to work independently, make decisions and solve moderate level problems independently, effectively and creatively
• Complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
• Apply effective time management and self-management skills
• Understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information
• Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
• Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization

Responsibilities

• Operate Zund cutting machines to form printed materials to customer specifications
• Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards
• Perform maintenance of Zund machinery and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines at beginning of each shift

Pay

$41,184 - $44,928 annually (This base pay range does not include additional compensation such as shift differentials).
