  • Key Responsibilities

    • Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and machining centers
    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
    • Load raw materials and secure workpieces using fixtures, vises, or chucks
    • Input or verify CNC programs and machine settings to meet job specifications
    • Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to maintain quality and production efficiency
    • Inspect finished parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance with tolerances
    • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes
    • Troubleshoot minor machine or process issues and report major problems to supervisors

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • Basic knowledge of machining or manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Prior CNC machining or machine operator experience
  • Technical or trade school training in machining or CNC
  • Familiarity with CNC programming (G-code)

  • Ability to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and time management

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and industrial materials
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Requires manual dexterity and stamina
  • Use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection

Schedule & Expectations

  • Full-time position with day or evening shifts
  • Overtime may be required to meet production demands
  • Work is deadline-driven with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency
