Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Prepares Door Slabs for assembly and pre-hanging
• Operates pre-programmed, computer-controlled machinery used in door fabrication and assembly
• Reviews work orders and confirms materials, measurements, and machine settings match production requirements
• Maintains proper pace of the line to meet daily production goals without compromising quality or safety
• Conducts regular quality checks to ensure doors meet company standards and specifications
• Performs basic maintenance, cleaning, and calibration on machinery as assigned
• Communicates equipment issues or downtime to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly
• Follows all company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safe material handling
• Affixes to training new operators or line employees as directed
• Maintains accurate production logs and documentation

Requirements

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or door shop, mill shops or cabinet shop environment preferred
• Basic computer and mechanical aptitude required
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, and measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift (up to 75 lbs)
