Responsibilities
- Prepares Door Slabs for assembly and pre-hanging
- Operates pre-programmed, computer-controlled machinery used in door fabrication and assembly
- Reviews work orders and confirms materials, measurements, and machine settings match production requirements
- Maintains proper pace of the line to meet daily production goals without compromising quality or safety
- Conducts regular quality checks to ensure doors meet company standards and specifications
- Performs basic maintenance, cleaning, and calibration on machinery as assigned
- Communicates equipment issues or downtime to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly
- Follows all company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safe material handling
- Affixes to training new operators or line employees as directed
- Maintains accurate production logs and documentation
Requirements
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or door shop, mill shops or cabinet shop environment preferred
- Basic computer and mechanical aptitude required
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, and measurement tools
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift (up to 75 lbs)
