Machine Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Transporting materials to the dryer.
• Making all proper settings (speed, temperature, width, etc.) on the dryer.
• Maintain close surveillance of material entering the dryer to ensure proper pin setting.
• Taking frequent width measurements of material entering and exiting the dryer.
• Maintaining accurate and neat records of each cut, verifying correct manufacturing card for the cut.
• Checking the dryer for mechanical condition periodically during each shift as well as performing minor maintenance (oiling chain, replacing broken pins, etc.).
• Keeping the dryer area clean, neat, and orderly.

Requirements

• Able to train on 1st shift (7am to 3pm).
• Frequent lifting, standing, and walking for up to 8 hours a day - with twisting, kneeling, and bending.
• Must have fine motor skills and manual dexterity along with good vision and be able to distinguish color variations.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
