Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and program a waterjet, hy-definition plasma cutter, press brake, shear, plate bending roll, CNC punching machine, and iron worker.
• Read blueprints, drawings, utilize tape measure, schedule raw materials for the machines, and inspect parts for accuracy/quality.

Requirements

• Must be able to read blueprints and drawings
• Must be able to operate and program a waterjet, hy-definition plasma cutter, press brake, plate bending roller, CNC punching machine, and iron worker.
• Must be able to use the computer software to clock in and out of work and in/out of jobs
• Must be proficient in the use of measuring instruments such as tape measures and calipers

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 70 lbs
• Able to work on your feet 8-10 hours a day

Experience Required/(Preferred)

• (1 year work experience operating machinery)

License or Certification Required

• Valid Driver’s License

Education Required

• High School or equivalent required

Additional Qualities

• Industrial painting skills
• Mechanical assembly
• Knowledge and experience using a lathe(preferred), hy-definition plasma CNC table operation, press brake, roller, saw, shear, and mill(preferred)
