Machine Operator

About the role

Hiring for Davidson Plyforms - 1st Shift 5AM-3:30PM / 2nd shift 3:30PM - 2AM - Monday through Thursday with OT on Fridays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe operation of all divisions machinery he has received training on per Davidson Plyforms.
• Adhere to all safety, quality and operational standards.
• Meet production rates and quality standards.
• Perform necessary quality verifications.
• Perform general preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Comply with all safety rules and policies.
• Complete all production forms and instructions that apply to their assigned work area.
• Follow all departmental ISO procedures and work instructions.
• Work as a team member.
• Maintain work area cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping.
• Pursue training opportunities which further job skills.
• Familiar with and able to utilize a tape measure and calipers.
• Demonstrate basic math skills.
• Be knowledgeable with the decimal system and able to read a ruler.
• Able to read a blueprint.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training
• Languages: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
