Machine Operator

About the role

We’re looking for a Rebar Machine Operator to support the fabrication, shaping, and processing of rebar that powers major construction and infrastructure projects. This role is essential to keeping our production floor running efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of rebar processing equipment—including The Barwiser, MEP, Shear, Bender, Double Bender, Crane, Forklift, Coil 20, and more.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep machinery running at peak performance.
• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to produce accurate, high-quality results.
• Measure, cut, and shape rebar to precise specifications.
• Monitor machine performance, identify malfunctions, and make adjustments.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and production standards.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts and cranes.
• Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate production documentation.
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are required.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Forklift and crane certifications are a plus.

Physical & Work Environment

• This role requires standing for long periods.
• Lifting materials up to 75 pounds is a requirement.
• Working around loud machinery, moving mechanical parts, and potential hazards is part of the job.
• Consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory.
