Description

The Floater role at Smurfit Westrock is the initial step in a stable career within packaging manufacturing. This entry-level position expects new hires to learn the process of box-making, including safety protocols, quality control, and machine operation.

Requirements

• A learning mindset
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
• Read and follow instruction manuals, procedure manuals, or assembly manuals
• Read a tape measure and perform basic math
• Wear safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and other required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Stand and walk continuously with occasional physical tasks like kneeling, crouching, squatting, bending, climbing, and grasping
• Be able to work in both hot and cold environments
