Machine Operator / Area Support 2nd Shift

About the role
2nd Shift Hours: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday - Thursday. Base pay is $17.50 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. Training will occur on 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM).
Responsibilities
- Safely operate roll formers, coil slitters, and flat sheet shears to produce quality metal roofing and wall panels
- Operate a slitter and visually inspect produced trims against specifications to ensure defect-free products
- Enter production quantities for each order into the computer system
- Operate a forklift for moving skids of stock trims and metal coils
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Assist in other departments as needed
Requirements
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work independently and with others
- High school diploma or GED
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
- Must be able to stand or walk approximately 7.5 hours per work shift
- Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in winter and summer months
- Noise level is moderate to loud
