Machine Operator-3rd Shift Slitting

About the Role

We are seeking a Machine Operator to support day-to-day operations in a safe and timely manner. You will report directly to the department’s supervisor and join a highly collaborative team with opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
• Perform basic asset care duties, including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
• Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
• Efficiently use standard and precision measuring equipment (tape measurer & calipers)
• Work under pressure and adjust to sudden work pattern or schedule changes
• Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policy
• Communicate finishing/quality concerns, service level statuses, and equipment performance issues to appropriate personnel

Requirements

• One (1) year or more experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
• Experience using machinery
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or military environment, or completion of post-high school education in manufacturing/industrial
• Ability to effectively and safely use hand measuring tools, wrenches, files, and small tools associated with Englert machines
• Basic computer knowledge and math skills (data entry into Infor system)

Physical Requirements

• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling in a loud/noisy, industrial, high-volume environment
• Physical ability to walk and stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift (up to 6-8 hours)
