Machine Operator (3rd shift)

About the role

The work is on-site (5 days). This is a safety-sensitive role that may require additional drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various machines and equipment to cut, bend, shape, shear, punch, drill, and/or test raw materials, parts, components, and/or assemblies.
• Read and understand TK prints for the specific department.
• Use measuring equipment for the specific department.
• Set up and run basic operations with assistance (e.g., press brakes, CNC punches, laser machines).
• Make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with assistance.
• Produce quality parts within acceptable scrap rate.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance while meeting productivity requirements.
• Understand and follow documentation (e.g., ISO, Windchill, Kanban, TKSs).
• Maintain a well-organized, safe, and clean workplace.
• Support and demonstrate commitment to the team and continuous improvement.
• Resolve problems at the lowest level possible and identify solutions when communicating issues.
• Follow rules of conduct and adhere to standard work.
• Understand the importance of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Respond to internal and external customer needs.

Introductory level: Primary focus is learning the process. Successful completion of the introductory period (6 months) is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience with precision tools and measuring equipment.
• Forklift certification, if applicable.
• Pass the Minimum Qualifications Test with a score of 70% or better.

Pay

Hourly base pay: $23.70. Compensation may vary based on seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
