Machine Operator, 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, measure and troubleshoot various manufacturing machines in the production of infrared optical lenses and/or components.
• Measure key dimensions using varying measurement instruments to ensure parts are in spec.
• Machines may include Single Point Diamond Turning CNC, Lens Molding, Slicing, Disc Polisher, etc.
• Make adjustments to equipment as needed to ensure best possible operating parameters.
• Inspect final product to ensure quality of parts as defined by customer specifications.
• Enter product related information into computer software system.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three months experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CNC experience (a plus).
• Experience with using and calibrating measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• The ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Finger/hand dexterity in order to handle small fragile parts.

Qualifications
