Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Role Responsibilities

• Set up and operate metal working machines to fabricate to specifications.
• Schedule and handle materials.
• Assure compliance with print specifications.
• Utilize computer programming.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Complies with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
• Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Familiarity with manufacturing process and inventory control practices (strongly desired)
• Ability to read blueprints and understand written and verbal instructions
• Knowledge of general safety practices
• Knowledge of general metal material properties
• Ability to work with close tolerances
• Strong mechanical ability and mathematical skills
• Communicate effectively
• Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment
• Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
• Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
• React to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned
• Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Some press brake or sheet metal forming experience
