Responsibilities
- Performs necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start-up on multiple pieces of equipment.
- Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
- Ensure all assigned machines are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably, according to recommended operating guidelines (MSIs) via performing necessary mechanical adjustments.
- Performs regular quality control throughout the shift and visual quality checks.
- Performs preventative maintenance on all the machines within respective workstations.
- Inform the maintenance team of any needed machine repairs or concerns.
- Complete accurate documentation and record-keeping on production operator logs.
- Actively engages with quality and process engineers to assist and implement operational changes in compliance with established MSI standards.
- Comply with company safety standards and procedures.
- Ensures safe working practices are being followed.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical or process issues accordingly.
- Assist with Bruker OST’s onboarding efforts by participating in activities that support the training of others.
- Cross-training as required per business needs.
- Aid in problem-solving and root cause analysis skills to assist with the corrective action process.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
- Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
- Ability to read and interpret procedures and calibrated equipment.
- Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
