About the Role

Perform audits and safety checks, maintain machinery according to TPM schedules, and ensure production meets specified dimensions using blueprints and work instructions. Daily equipment maintenance includes greasing, oiling, and cleaning. Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust machinery to meet specifications, and use measuring instruments to verify part dimensions during production runs.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Equipment Safety Checklist and audit for safety issues.
  • Adhere to TPM schedule for machinery care and maintenance.
  • Read blueprints and work instructions to produce parts to specified dimensions.
  • Grease, oil, and clean equipment daily.
  • Set up and troubleshoot equipment, including Warner & Swasey’s, Acme’s, and Chuckers.
  • Check dimensions of parts during production using necessary measuring instruments.
  • Use ERP system to look up parts and plan production.
  • Perform minor adjustments to machinery to meet specifications.
  • Locate setup bins and layout tools for preset up.
  • Handle material and scrap, including loading, unloading, and disposal.
  • Job on and off manufacturing orders.
  • Audit 5S checklists regularly and support 5S and safe work practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of industrial manufacturing or quality inspection experience.
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Lotus Notes.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical tools (averages, standard deviations, run-charts).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Safety-focused with a commitment to following safety procedures.
  • Highly motivated, dependable, and customer-focused.
  • Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, and processes.

Skills

  • Familiarity with corrective action (8D process).
  • Experience with Plant 3 valve design, assembly, and testing.
  • Knowledge of Lean and problem-solving methodologies, including training in Lean events.
