Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned production lines to meet established quality and product standards.
  • Familiarize yourself with daily production goals and ensure they are achieved.
  • Evaluate and discuss machinery operation with the previous shift’s Machine Operator.
  • Operate and adjust production line equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and report issues.
  • Conduct quality checks on containers to maintain proper specifications and document adjustments.
  • Maintain defined levels of raw materials and keep machines and work areas clean.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean workstation.
  • Follow plant-specific job specifications and task lists.
  • Work assigned shifts, including overtime and after-hours meetings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Food Safety Responsibilities

  • Monitor and verify activities to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards.
  • Comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures and document data correctly.
  • Ensure all product contact surfaces are restored to sanitary condition after job completion.
  • Report any product or process failures that could impact food safety to Quality or Line/Maintenance Supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Experience in plastics or packaging industry a plus.
  • Working knowledge of computer operating systems.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Close vision abilities required.
  • Regularly sit, use hands to finger/handle, talk, or hear.
  • Frequently stand and walk on concrete.
  • Occasionally reach, stoop, bend, twist, push, pull, or move materials.

Work Environment

  • Typical manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels; ear protection required.
