About the role

Full-Time, Direct Hire position offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus: $500 at 3 months, $500 at 6 months, and $500 at 1 year of employment. Day shift available with a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts—3 days one week and 4 days the next.

Responsibilities

  • On a daily basis, ensure assigned production lines meet established quality and product standards to achieve daily production goals.
  • Evaluate and discuss machinery operation with the Machine Operator from the previous shift.
  • Operate and adjust production line equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and report any problems.
  • Perform quality checks on containers to maintain proper specifications and document any problems or adjustments.
  • Maintain defined levels of all raw materials used in production on assigned machinery.
  • Keep assigned machines and work area neat, clean, and free of debris, including cleaning assigned areas or equipment as instructed.
  • Conduct yourself in a safe manner, adhering to all safety protocols and wearing PPE properly in accordance with company standards.
  • Follow plant-specified job specifications and task lists.
  • Work assigned shifts, including overtime and after-hour meetings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Food Safety Responsibilities

  • Monitor and verify activities to ensure all products meet food safety and quality standards.
  • Comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures, documenting data correctly at all times.
  • Ensure all work product contact surfaces are restored to sanitary condition after job completion.
  • Report any product or process failures that could impact food safety to Quality and/or Line/Maintenance Supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred; experience in plastics or packaging industry a plus.
  • Working knowledge of computer operating systems.

Work Environment

The work environment is typical of most manufacturing environments. The noise level is usually moderate to high, requiring ear protection.
