Machine Operator 1st Shift

About the role

Rich’s, a family-owned food company, is dedicated to inspiring possibilities through a wide range of products, from cakes and icings to pizza and specialty toppings. As a Machine Operator, you will control machinery to mold ice cream cakes safely, sanitarily, and efficiently while meeting company food safety and quality standards. You will also assist the Casting Lead in supervising the molding process and help maximize product quality and team output.

Responsibilities

• Prepare casting materials and set up workstations.
• Ensure equipment operates efficiently while producing high-quality ice cream products in a safe, sanitary, and cost-effective manner.
• Perform tasks to maintain smooth process flow.
• Confirm the department follows safety practices and identify/correct potential hazards.
• Assist the Casting Lead as needed.
• Comply with GMP, safety, and food safety standards at all times.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of machine operator experience required.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and Word.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in day-to-day decisions.
• Punctual and reliable in work attendance.
• Ability to organize and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
• Flexible and capable of managing others.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication skills required; bilingual speakers are a plus.
