Machine Operator- 12 hour shifts

About the role

Operates state-of-the-art plastic extrusion equipment to produce high-quality specialty films.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Participates in the training curriculum as an operator, learning aspects of plastic extrusion line operations.
• Maintains quality and accuracy of the line and scrap.
• Performs housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment.
• Sets up plastic extrusion machines (shut-down, start-up, switchovers, order preparation, and production).
• Maintains raw materials (resin) by keeping extruder fed with resin mixture.
• Maintains good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers.
• Provides assistance to co-workers to expedite changeovers.
• Identifies needed changes and makes recommendations.
• Troubleshoots mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed.

Requirements

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools.
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of plastic extrusion experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Pay

• Starting Salary: Wages up to $21.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
• Additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential.

Schedule

• Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule.
• Work: Monday & Tuesday – Off: Wednesday & Thursday – Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
• Off: Monday & Tuesday – Work: Wednesday & Thursday – Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
• 12-hour static shifts (Nights - 6:00pm – 6:00am) (Days - 6:00am - 6:00pm)
