Machine Operator 1 - Mon - Thur 8:45pm - 7:15am

About the role

Location: Mebane, North Carolina. Duration: 12 months. Pay rate: $21/hr. Night shift, Monday–Thursday, 8:45 PM – 7:15 AM.

Responsibilities

• Manually packages kits
• Performs cleaning functions
• Tests/inspects parts for in-process quality checks
• Trains others
• Accurately completes paperwork
• Pulls raw material for orders
• Feeds raw material on production line
• Clears common machine faults
• Performs some set-up and start-up tasks for the machine
• Performs some shut-down tasks for the machine
• Offers input for Standard Operating Procedures
• Performs controls and adjustments for machine settings
• Follows and documents established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Follows all BD housekeeping policies and procedures
• Follows all BD safety policies and procedures
• Works overtime as required to meet business requirements
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

• High school degree
• 1 year manufacturing experience
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Ability to perform repetitive motion
• Effective teamwork and communication across the department
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work on semi-routine assignments and recognize deviations from specification
• Proficient in English: read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams, perform basic arithmetic
• Basic proficiency with PCs and Windows environment

$21 per hour
