Machine Operator 1

Responsibilities

• Perform routine machine set ups and minor adjustments to plastic extrusion equipment.
• Maintain compliance with GMPs, safety requirements, quality procedures, and productivity standards.
• Monitor production processes and identify defective products or process deviations.
• Support continuous production through effective communication with shift leads and operators.
• Aid in training and on-the-job development of other associates.
• Provide operational and break relief support.
• Operate pallet jacks to move equipment and materials as needed.
• Conduct quality checks and make necessary process adjustments.
• Dispose of out-of-spec materials using a plastic granulator.
• Complete and maintain production reports, data entry, and detailed shift documentation.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of plastic extrusion machinery and auxiliary equipment through formal training or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with effective problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of plant and machine safety practices.
• Proficiency in basic math, measurements, and ratios.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
