Machine Operator 1

About the role

The GAF Cumming plant manufactures commercial and residential roofing material. The ideal candidate will operate injection molding machines and perform various manufacturing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in a safe manner to prevent damage and injuries
• Load/unload materials using an electric pallet jack
• Inspect parts according to quality procedures
• Maintain accurate operational records
• Participate in production team activities
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Work rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years manufacturing experience or military experience
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions
• Deal with problems involving physical variables

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills and/or injection molding experience preferred

Pay

Base Hourly Rate: $26.36

Schedule

Rotating shift schedule, including weekends and some evenings.
