About the role

Generations People is currently recruiting for a variety of roles across Chesterfield, S40, S44, and S43 areas. Positions range from Sewing Machinists to CNC Lathe Machinists, HGV Drivers, Production Operatives, Goods in Operatives, Manufacturing Operators, CNC Turners, Warehouse & FLT Operatives, Warehouse Operatives, Machine Operators, General Operatives, and 3.5t Van Drivers.

Responsibilities

• Sewing Machinist: Full Time, Days – 7.30am till 4.30pm (Monday to Thursday), 7.30am till 12.30pm (Friday)
• Stock Controller: Full Time, Days – 6am till 3.30pm
• HGV Drivers: Full Time, Days & Nights available, OT availability
• Production Operatives: Full Time, Days – Monday to Thursday (7.00am – 15.30pm), Friday (7.00am – 14.30pm) – (39 hours per week)
• Goods in Operative: Full Time, Days
• Making Operators: Full Time, Days & Afters – Nights 6am till 2pm – 2pm till 10pm & 10pm till 6.00am
• CNC Lathe Machinist & Setter: Full Time, Days & Afters
• Warehouse & FLT Operative – Days: 10am till 8.00pm (50 hours per week) Monday to Friday
• Warehouse Operative – FLT: 9-hour shifts Day and Afters shifts Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday
• CNC Turner – Operator & Setter: Full Time, Afters – 38 hours per week – Monday to Thursday – 2pm to 11:30pm
• Machine Operator: Full Time, Continental shifts, Days and Nights (12 hours) or Days & Afters – 7.00am till 15.00pm and 15.00pm till 23.00pm
• General Operatives: Various Shifts available
• Bench Operative: Shifts, Days (Full time – Monday to Friday)
• Extrusion Operative: Shifts, Days, Afters & Nights (8-hour shifts)
• 3.5t Van Driver: Days regular (Monday to Friday) 6.00 am till 6.00 pm

Skills

• Sewing Machinists: Proficiency in sewing machines and understanding of garment production processes.
• Stock Controllers: Strong organizational skills and experience in inventory management.
• HGV Drivers: Valid HGV license, excellent driving record, and experience operating large vehicles.
• Production Operatives: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
• Goods in Operatives: Knowledge of warehouse operations and experience with materials handling.
• Making Operators: Proficiency in operating CNC machines and setting up tools.
• CNC Lathe Machinists & Setters: Experience with CNC lathe machines and the ability to set up and operate them.
• Warehouse & FLT Operatives: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• CNC Turner – Operator & Setter: Proficiency in turning machines and setting up tools.
• Machine Operators: Proficiency in operating various types of machinery and following safety protocols.
• General Operatives: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Bench Operatives: Proficiency in bench work and following safety protocols.
• Extrusion Operatives: Knowledge of extrusion processes and experience with related machinery.
• 3.5t Van Drivers: Valid HGV license, excellent driving record, and experience operating large vehicles.

Pay

• Sewing Machinists: £13.54 p/h
• Stock Controllers: £12.64 p/h
• HGV Drivers: £13.50 to £15.50 per hour, plus bonus
• Production Operatives: £12.21 p/h
• Goods in Operatives: £12.64 p/h starting salary rising to £13.18 per hour after probationary period
• Making Operators: £12.21 – £12.44 p/h
• CNC Lathe Machinists & Setters: £13.70 – £14.21 per hour
• Warehouse & FLT Operatives – Days: £12.50 per hour
• Warehouse Operatives – FLT: £12.50 per hour
• CNC Turner – Operator & Setter: DOE
• Machine Operators: £12.21 – £12.44 p/h
• General Operatives: £12.21 p/h
• Bench Operatives: £12.25 p/h
• Extrusion Operatives: £14.11 to £15.90 per hour
• 3.5t Van Drivers: £12.35 p/h
