Responsibilities
- Overall line responsibility from production to packaging
- Start and stop the machine
- Perform parison controls and make minor process adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
- Monitor material control (weight distribution, regrind levels, tail lengths, etc.)
- Perform regular quality control throughout the shift and visual quality checks
- Prepare the machine for mold changes, including changing speed and cycle times
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure goods are produced in the correct quantity and specifications
- Accurately record goods produced and problems encountered during shift
- Perform color changes and material changes
- Perform autonomous maintenance activities
- Provide directions to Packaging Operators and Machine Operators I, as needed
- Develop Machine Operator I by providing and supporting training activities
- Cover for the Shift Supervisor when needed
- Assist the Supervisor or Mold Change Team with mold/color changes as needed
- Work together in a team to ensure efficiency
- Maintain good housekeeping in and around the machine and within the department

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1.5 years of experience as an ALPLA Machine Operator I or at least 3 years equivalent outside experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated mechanical ability
