Machine Mechanic

Job Summary

Responsible for keeping warps running on a continuous basis through maintenance and overhauling of all looms. Responsible for repairing and maintaining all mechanical operations of sulzer machines; make necessary adjustments and settings to assure proper operation and maximum efficiency.

Essential Functions

• Repair and replace looms on warps when they run out.
• Weave pattern changes, pick gear changes.
• Record all necessary information on tickets.
• Ensure sulzer machines run properly to assure first-quality material.
• Keep all relative parts, chain rack pick gears, etc… in a neat and orderly fashion.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking up to 8 hours per day.
• Frequent lifting, twisting and bending.
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs.
• Fine motor skills and manual dexterity.

Skills

• Mechanical Aptitude.
