Machine Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

About the role
This individual will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring proper functionality of machines within the facility. Additional responsibilities include improving the quality, productivity and safety of the machine maintenance work.
1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform basic machinery repair
- Install and align new machining equipment
- Recommend improvements and changes for increased quality or efficiency
- Perform preventative maintenance per schedule
- Work independently on projects of moderate complexity
- Accurately record and report hours worked
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
- Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
- Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
- Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
- Participate in required company meetings
- Maintain an organized work area (5S)
- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
- Complete all other work duties as assigned
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Requirements
- 3 years of intermediate level of machine maintenance experience
- Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Intermittent exposure to safe levels of cleaning solutions, solvents, and solder (lead) fumes
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift 10-50lbs and to stand, bend and stoop
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, around machinery that may be exposed to and around oils & solvents
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to prioritize and multitask

Pay
Pay Range: USD $25.14 - USD $40.67 /Hr. This pay range reflects the base hourly rate for positions within this job grade, based on market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
