Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Follows work orders, written and oral instructions, uses safety equipment, scales, various hand tools and aids, holding and clamping devices.
- Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic, semi-automatic or manual machines.
- Performs start up/shutdown procedures for thermoformer, and assembles appropriate machine parts and die.
- Sets up and operates vacuum former machinery to shape plastics.
- Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery.
- Monitor machines set points and reports any variations/deviations.
- Sets up and operates Sonic Welder, adjusts conditions such as feed rate to obtain proper fusion, specifications, and quality of workmanship.
- Joins, fabricates, Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.
- Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness.
- Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment.
- May prepare the materials and set up for a welding device or robot.
- Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products.
- Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production.
- Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience/ Education
- Good hand-eye coordination and upper extremity motor skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to operate staple guns and punches.
- Computer literacy.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete training in area of specialty.
