Machine Learning Expert - Fully Remote | Upto $120/hr

Role Responsibilities

• Train transformer-based language models from scratch and fine-tune open-weight models.
• Optimize performance in data- and compute-constrained environments.
• Construct training corpora from raw web-scale sources.
• Build and manage post-training pipelines.
• Diagnose and resolve training issues to enhance model performance.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Must-Have: 3+ years of machine learning research experience.
• Strong experience with PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, or similar ML frameworks.
• Degree from a top-100 university, experience at a FAANG or comparable AI company, or an equivalent research track record.

Preferred

• Experience with scaling laws, curriculum learning, and LLM evaluation.
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning for language models.
• Expertise in model alignment and AI safety.
