About The Role

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Oracle, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI and ML solutions that drive innovation across the organization. Your expertise will be critical in building distributed systems, containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native architectures to support the deployment of advanced ML models, including large language models (LLMs). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers, to translate business needs into robust, scalable, and reliable AI systems. The role involves working on generative AI capabilities, conversational AI solutions, and other state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to enhance user experiences and create value for customers. You will also lead initiatives to incubate new ideas, develop high-quality code, and ensure the deployment of efficient, low-latency ML models in production environments. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration tools.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and conversational AI development.
  • Familiarity with building and deploying scalable ML pipelines for batch and real-time applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed design specifications and write clean, efficient, and scalable code for ML systems.
  • Lead the incubation of new AI initiatives, architecting solutions that are scalable and reliable.
  • Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models, including large language models, ensuring performance and low latency.
  • Build and optimize ML pipelines for both batch and real-time data processing.
  • Leverage third-party and in-house ML tools, along with OCI platform features, to develop reusable, high-performance ML systems.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and operations teams to identify opportunities for business impact and prioritize requirements.
  • Drive engineering decisions to enhance system efficiency, robustness, and scalability.
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables through adherence to development standards and QA procedures.
  • Continuously innovate and improve technical solutions through iterative discovery, testing, and feedback.
  • Maintain clear communication with project teams, providing regular updates on progress and challenges.
