The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive Software Development Engineer with a strong machine learning background, to build customization capabilities such as fine tuning, distillation, model evaluation, prompt optimization, etc.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of novel LLM training techniques and optimizations to advance the state of LLMs.
  • Collaborate closely with Applied Scientists and leverage Amazon’s heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate development of multimodal Large Language Models and Generative Artificial Intelligence solutions.
  • Deliver new features and products with a demonstrable track record of success.
  • Create reliable, scalable, and high performance AI products requiring exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science and Machine Learning.
  • Thrive and succeed in delivering high quality technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Pay

USA, MA, Boston: 143,700.00 - 194,400.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
