Machine Assistant

Responsibilities

• Help fill customer orders
• Assist Machine Operators in operating equipment to create finished goods
• Packaging products
• Uphold safety standards
• Build spools for finished product to be produced on
• Maintain spool supermarket
• Deliver parts to machines
• Accurately label rolls
• Perform quality testing and ensure product is within customer specifications
• Use assisted lifting device when necessary to load rolls onto a skid
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, operating, and maintenance instructions
• Absorb 5S activities

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read a ruler/tape measure
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• A creative approach and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

• A strong desire, dedication, and determination to succeed, by continually improving skills through on-the-job training and various offered educational opportunities
• Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or related area
