Machine Assembler

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
• Work at varying heights to assemble machinery.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, crouching, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• If required as part of the job, meet specific physical requirements for cab crane operation as outlined on the Cab Crane job description addendum.

Responsibilities

• Fasten and install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools, rivet guns, and welding equipment.
• Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications.
• Lay out and drill, ream, tap, or cut parts for assembly.
• Position and align components for assembly manually or using cranes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and specifications manuals.
• Remove rough spots, and smooth surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts, using hand tools and power tools.
• Rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies.
• Set and verify parts clearances.
• Verify conformance of parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Maintain and lubricate parts and components.
• Comply with all Butech Bliss safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Must possess his/her own tools.
• Problem analysis and solving skills that display an attention to detail.
• Must be dependable and able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to work overtime.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in large complex machine assembly.
• Experience with overhead cranes and hoists.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
