MA Trainee

Position Summary

A MA Trainee will work in an assigned NeighborHealth Department fulfilling the duties assigned to them by their direct Manager.

Essential Duties

• Provide excellent customer service to help resolve inquiries or requests for patients and NeighborHealth staff.
• Work in their assigned NeighborHealth Department supporting the needs of that Department, their colleagues, and patients (if applicable).
• Provide telephone/email support; answering phones/emails in a pleasant and cordial manner while providing excellent customer service to help resolve inquiries or requests.
• Follow established departmental policies and procedures for environmental safety and infection control.
• Reflect NeighborHealth core values.
• Maintain professional attitude.
• Participate in required departmental activities.
• Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance.
• Adhere to all NeighborHealth and departmental policies and procedures.
• Use NeighborHealth devices appropriately.
• Perform other related duties from the clinical department as needed.

Education

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Skills/Abilities

• Able to anticipate potential problems and problem-solve independently.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work with different NeighborHealth departments both independently and as a team member.
• Bilingual in Spanish prefer but not required.

Pay Rate

$20.00 per hour, until successfully completed the program, and transitioned into the Medical Assistant I role.
